Election Rules & Code of Conduct
Please read carefully before participating in the departmental election. By using this platform, you agree to comply with these rules.
Eligibility
- Only registered students of the department are eligible to vote.
- Each eligible voter may cast exactly one ballot per election.
- Voters must authenticate using their matriculation number (or registered contact) and a valid OTP.
Voting Process
- Votes are cast electronically via the official portal during the announced voting window.
- You must review and confirm your selections before submitting; votes are final once submitted.
- Do not share your OTP or any authentication details with others.
Prohibited Conduct
- Impersonation or attempting to vote on behalf of another person.
- Interference with the platform (e.g., attempting to disrupt service or tamper with results).
- Campaigning within restricted areas or using abusive language on official channels.
Results & Disputes
- Preliminary tallies may be displayed; official results are those announced by ELCOM.
- Any dispute must be filed in writing within 24 hours of result announcement.
- All platform actions are logged; ELCOM may review audit logs to resolve disputes.
Privacy & Security
- Ballots are encrypted and stored without voter identities.
- Security monitoring is in place; suspicious activity may lead to temporary account restriction pending review.
- Use only trusted networks and keep your device secure while voting.
Enforcement
Violations may result in warnings, vote invalidation, or referral to departmental authorities as determined by ELCOM.
